The QDA Technology Department would like to remind all prospective and current students that computer systems can and will be provided upon enrollment. However, students wishing to use their personal computer may also do so.

Please note, students using a QDA provided computer system will have all of the required software pre-installed.

Internet Service

Parents and students are responsible for providing an Internet connection. QDA will reimburse up to $40 a month for Internet. (Broadband Providers in Ohio - Disclaimer)

High Speed

We recommend any high speed connection available in your area like cable or DSL.

Satellite

A Satellite connection will work with most of our content providers.

Dial-up

A dial-up connection will work with most of our content providers.

  • Please be sure to note that you are using AOL on the application if AOL is your Internet Service Provider.

Cell Phone Internet

Please be aware that your cell phone provider will impose monthly limits on your bandwidth. Some of our providers use streaming media which could cause you to go over your monthly allowance of bandwidth. Please speak to your cell phone provider for more information.
 

Computer System

Typically, any computer system will work as long as the computer system has or can install a correct web browser.
 

Web Browser

If you can view our web page, then your computer system meets the minimum specifications:
  • Internet Explorer 7 or higher.
  • Firefox
  • Google Chrome
  • Opera
  • Safari
Please note, you only have to have one of the above web browsers installed.
 

Software

All of these programs (except Microsoft Office and Photoshop) can be downloaded for free.
 
Adobe Reader (or any software that can read PDF files)
Word Processor (OpenOffice or Microsoft Office*)
Adobe Flash
Java
iTunes with Quicktime
Photoshop*
Anti-Virus (Microsoft Security Essentials)
 
*Software will be provided free of charge if course requires it.
 

Wireless Networking.

All QDA computer system have a built-in wireless network card. 
 

Printers

QDA will provide one printer per family, upon request.
