“Explore the world of the circus from a different point of view!” When Bill Auld, assistant professor of theatre, was a little boy he always dreamed of running away ad joining the circus, and when he grew up he did just that. Along the way he learned that it takes more than just bravery to fly through the air, it takes an amazing amount of science, math, and physics. Using demonstrations help from the audience and even a live performance put on by Kent State Tuscarawas students, Bill Auld applies a modern eye to the ancient art of flying acrobats that is used today to create sequences found from Ringling Brothers to Cirque du Soleil to even motion pictures.
