SWEATERS, STOCKINGS AND STORIES: WARM HOLIDAY MEMORIES FROM AROUND THE WORLD

Thursday, November 29, 2018

12:30 p.m.

Free

Come enter into the spirit of the holidays with our production of “Sweaters, Stockings and Stories: Warm Holiday Memories from Around the World.” Devised by a select and talented group of student storytellers at Kent State Tuscarawas, this production explores the literature, traditions and history of Christmas in all its many forms. By bringing to life classic holiday stories from around the globe, students will gain a deeper appreciation for our most treasured holiday tales and for stories children around the world use to celebrate this holiday season in their own special ways. These dramatized folk tales are pulled from Europe, Iceland, Africa and more, and will help show that while we all carry deeply held beliefs unique to our own culture, there is a common holiday thread that runs through the world and binds us all together. Come explore our wide world and make your own magic memories with us! Age Appropriateness: First–Fifth Grades
