Quaker Digital Academy is seeking a qualified Intervention Specialist to support students in a flexible, part-time remote role for the 2026–2027 school year. This position focuses on delivering high-quality special education services, managing IEPs, and building strong relationships with students and families in a virtual learning environment.

Overview

  • Manage caseload of approximately 12–24 students
  • Provide Special Education services (virtual and/or face-to-face) according to IEPs
  • Demonstrate knowledge of adaptive technologies
  • Facilitate IEP meetings
  • Write and implement IEPs
  • Compile and maintain special education files
  • Monitor and report progress toward IEP goals and objectives
  • Ensure compliance with IDEA requirements
  • Maintain accurate records
  • Demonstrate proficiency with basic computer skills (including Google tools)
  • Develop positive relationships with students and colleagues
  • Maintain detailed documentation from conferences
  • Serve as instructional supervisor through the online system
  • Share in general project workload
  • Lead parent orientations
  • Participate in staff meetings and conferences
  • Provide technical support to employees and subcontractors
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree – K-12 Intervention Specialist
  • Valid Ohio License in required fields
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organization and time-management skills
  • Flexible schedule

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in an online environment
  • Understanding of homeschooling environments
  • Ability to quickly learn new technology tools
  • Ability to support adults with basic computer setup and navigation
