Quaker Digital Academy
APPLICATION FOR EARLY GRADUATION
The Quaker Digital Academy Board of Education believes students benefit from completing a full four-year high school program that includes academic coursework and opportunities for personal growth. However, the Board recognizes that, in certain circumstances, a student's educational goals may be best served through an approved early graduation plan.
Students wishing to graduate after completing three years of high school may apply for early graduation and participate in commencement exercises provided the following requirements are met:
- Graduation Requirements
The student must successfully complete all graduation requirements established by the Quaker Digital Academy Board of Education, which includes earning a minimum of 20 credits from an accredited high school and meeting all applicable state testing and graduation requirements.
Graduation requirements are subject to change based on Board policy and state law.
- Application Process
The student and parent/guardian must meet with the student's Instructional Supervisor and/or School Counselor to discuss the request for early graduation. A completed Early Graduation Application must be submitted no later than March 1 of the early grad year.
- Administrative Review
Approval of an early graduation request is not automatic. Applications will be reviewed by school administration to ensure the student has met all graduation requirements and that early graduation is in the student's best educational interest.
- Student Status
Students approved for early graduation will be classified as an Early Graduate but will remain in their present grade level. Eligibility for senior recognitions, scholarships, awards, and other senior activities will be determined in accordance with district policies and applicable program requirements.
- Participation in School Activities
Upon issuance of the diploma, the student is no longer considered an enrolled student at Quaker Digital Academy and is no longer eligible to participate in school-sponsored activities, athletics, or organizations, with the exception of the graduation ceremony.
