Quaker Digital Academy is seeking a part-time custodian up to 25 hours per week available nightly beginning at 4:00 PM.
Job Description: Under immediate or general supervision, the part-time custodian will perform various manual, skilled, and semiskilled tasks involved in cleaning building(s). Will also perform other related duties as assigned and as needed. Candidates must have at least 2 years of prior cleaning experience, be customer-service-oriented, and be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs. The successful candidate must undergo a background check.
Overview
- Vacuum all carpet areas nightly and mop file floors
- Set up a routine to ensure proper building cleanliness
- Emptying trashcans nightly
- Clean and inspect all surfaces regularly
- Dusting all surfaces
- Ordering and organizing cleaning supplies
- Washing windows when necessary
- Collecting and taking out trash and recycling
- Ensures that doors and windows are locked, that lights are turned out, and light bulbs are replaced when required
- Ability to perform manual labor involving lifting, dragging, turning, standing, bending, carrying, and stretching, often under adverse climatic conditions for extended periods
- Ability to recognize potentially unsafe conditions and situations and report these to the proper supervisor
- Clean and inspect restrooms to ensure proper cleanliness
- Clean and wash any necessary appliances in the kitchen area
- Able to use a computer to turn in time sheets
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
